Hi, I am a first time visitor to your blog and was skimming your post when I saw your gestational diabetes test failure. THERE IS HELP WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE INSULIN SHOTS!! Oh, please excuse me for yelling, I just want to shout this from the rooftops!!

Go check out http://t-tapp.com/. Her exercise routine is very different and has been tested and proven that a particular 3 minute routine will drop blood sugar levels up to 78 points. Many women who have had GD with prior pregnancies who do this (Hoe Down routine) have NOT had to take ANY insulin! AND that particular routine (plus some others, she calls is try before you buy) are viewable on her website. I even downloaded them to my computer and burned my own DVD (I used NERO it's free) so I could watch on the tv. All the routines are done without jumping, and in a 3 foot square space, no equipment, and you can do either a 15 minute or a 45 minute routine. Sorry, I am sounding like an ad. There is lots and lots of information on her website. I encourage you to check it out. I do not get any royalties from this endorsement!

Oh, and there was a case of "old label" DVDs found and they are being sold for a mere pittance! That's the one I got. As if I care what label is on the thing, it's in my DVD player!

So it's good news, bad news, good news. That's a pretty good balance. :)

I love the pictures of the two moms and all of their kids. When I look at pictures of my crew I always think, "Wow. I have a LOT of kids!" I never realize it until I see a picture (which my mother thinks is very funny.....like I wouldn't know it without a picture).

Bummer about the GD. Only 10 weekds left for you thats good. 5 weeks left for me and the heat is making me want to jump off a bridge, okay thats a little extreme, but I have never been this pregnant in the summer before an dI am not liking it one bit. I have been praying for more patience thats for sure.

Great news about Mercy. We are still patching our now three year olds eye for a few hours a day. I haate it and will be thankful when we can stop.

What a great looking bunch of kids. I love kids :)

Carri, I had gestational diabetes with 4 of my girls. I was on insulin for one of them. Being on the diet is no fun but it isn't terrible. The insulin was pretty bad but usually things can be controlled with diet and exercise. This is one of those character building times we would rather skip.:)Let me know if I can help.

I love the update and seeing that God is working in a miracle through Mercy. Bethie is so beautiful. It is so good to see the pictures we miss all of you very much. It looks like you have been busy and have had a fun filled summer so far. Blessing to you all. Love, Renee
