In the attempts to get back into the blogging world, I will be posting more often than I have in the last few months. Sorry! Life has been busy! However... not so busy that I could not take some photos. So- in no particular order, here are my 11 favorite nature shots of 2011.

Let them be kids

When I saw this week's theme of "Let Them be Little" on Iheartfaces I just HAD to dust off this blog and post one of my all time favorite photos.

Three year olds and their clothes are some of my favorite things. This photo with Emma and her mud boots, in a ballerina dress, hair tie with a ribbon on it around her wrist as a bracelet, and a bike helmet that she had decorated with markers... brushing a horse with her sister's hairbrush. Can anything speak THREE YEARS OLD more strongly than that?

This photo is actually one of the ones that made me desire to learn to take great photos to preserve my children in all their wonderfulness. Emma wouldn't be caught dead going out of the house in this outfit today... I am so glad that I have this memory forever.

Finding one of these bugs around my homestead would really be one of the things that bug me.

Seriously bug me. I am pretty sure I'd scream like a girl.

Which is OK since I AM a girl.

But there are some people (I won't mention the names of any "Sweet" Savages who might be implicated in this photo) really need to get out a bit more.
